We will not be open for business, or taking online orders, on Friday, January 23.
Friday January 23rd is “ICE Out of Minnesota: Day of Truth & Freedom” — a statewide pause of daily activity where Minnesotans stand together against the actions of the federal government taken against the people of Minnesota.
Friday, January 23rd will be a statewide day of non-violent moral action, and reflection: no work, no school, no shopping — only community, conscience, and collective action.
We are a VERY small “mom and pop shop”, Bob and I put all of our savings, and took out significant loans to start Twin Cities Crickets. We now spend a combined 100+ hours of work every week to run, and continue to grow the business. We love being a part of this community and being able to provide healthy feeders for this community’s pets.
It is impossible to understand what is happening to us in Minnesota from news articles, social media feeds, and videos. What is happening to American citizens at the hand of the Federal Government is overwhelmingly terrifying. We are not safe, we are not okay.
We know that this choice may hurt our business, but nothing can be more damaging to us than the loss of our humanity and our constitutional rights.
We are standing in unity for our 1st and 4th Amendment rights along with:

- OVER 500 MINNESOTA BUSINESSES and regional councils throughout the state.
We thank The New York City of United Federation of Teachers (UFT), SEIU 1199 and 32BJ, and Teamsters Local 804 are supporting MN with a parallel day of action. On the West Coast, SEIU Local 721 Los Angeles is mobilizing its members.
We will not be accepting orders, phone calls, texts, emails, or be open for business on January 23rd.
